What we collect
Information you give us. Whatever you type into a case review form: name, phone, email, the type of situation, the state, the organization or facility involved, and anything you write in a comments field. All of it except a way to reach you is optional.
Ordinary server information. Like any website, our servers log requests: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is standard web infrastructure logging used for security and for diagnosing problems.
What we do not collect. We do not require an account, do not ask for a Social Security number or financial information through this site, and do not ask for documents or medical records through a web form.
How we use it
Information you submit is used to contact you, to evaluate whether a legal claim may be possible in your situation, and to answer your questions. If you become a client, it becomes part of your file and is governed by the rules of professional conduct that apply to attorneys, including confidentiality obligations that are stricter than this policy.
We do not use it to build marketing profiles, we do not sell it, and we do not provide it to data brokers or lead aggregators.
Who sees it
- Our team and the reviewing attorney, in order to evaluate and respond to your message.
- Co-counsel or a referral firm, if your matter is one we would refer or handle jointly. Where the referral is material to you, we tell you.
- Service providers who operate infrastructure on our behalf, such as our email delivery provider, under obligations to protect the data.
- Where the law requires it: a valid court order, subpoena, or legal obligation.

Attorney–client privilege, stated accurately
Communications with an attorney for the purpose of seeking legal advice are generally privileged, and we treat what you send with that in mind. But sending a form does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship, which requires a signed agreement. Until then, send enough for us to evaluate whether we can help, and hold back the rest for a conversation once you are represented. See our disclaimer.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become matters are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond and to keep a record of the contact, and are then deleted. Client files are retained longer, as professional obligations require. You can ask us to delete what you submitted at any time by emailing leads@sexualabusecenter.com; where the law requires us to keep something, we will tell you what and why.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not require cookies to function and does not use advertising trackers or cross-site retargeting pixels. If we introduce analytics to understand which pages are useful, it will be configured to avoid collecting personally identifying information, and this section will be updated to say so before it is deployed.
Browsing safely
- Private browsing. On a shared device, open this site in a private or incognito window. It leaves no entry in your browsing history at all, which is stronger protection than anything a website can offer you.
- Clear your history. If you have already browsed normally, clearing history for this site removes the record from that browser, though not from a network monitoring tool.
- Email and phone. Consider whether an email address or phone number you give us is one another person can access. Tell us if a particular channel is unsafe for you, and we will use a different one.
- Device monitoring. If you believe your device is being monitored by someone, use a different device entirely. A library or a friend’s phone is safer than any setting on a compromised one.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to opt out of any sale of it, which is straightforward here because we do not sell it. To exercise any of these, email leads@sexualabusecenter.com. We do not charge for this and will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through this site. If you are a minor currently experiencing abuse, please tell a trusted adult, call 911 if you are in danger, or call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 800-422-4453.
Changes and contact
