What changed
The consent judgment in State of Nevada v. Roblox Corporation, Case No. A-26-944136-B in the Clark County District Court, sets $12.5 million in payments: $10 million to the State in installments through October 2028, $1 million for public-safety announcements, and $1.5 million for a Nevada law-enforcement liaison. It provides that none of the payments is a civil penalty.
It was entered “without finding or admission of wrongdoing or liability of any kind,” and states that “Roblox denies any wrongdoing and the allegations in the Complaint.”
West Virginia’s Attorney General announced an $11.08 million settlement on April 21, 2026, paid over several years. According to the announcement, it requires age verification before users can chat, restricts contact between adults and users under 16, and sets safer content defaults for users under 16.
