What changed

The State of Arkansas filed its complaint against Roblox Corporation and Discord Inc. in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, not in an Arkansas court. The complaint is dated June 10, 2026; news reports give the filing date as June 11, and the Attorney General announced it on June 22.

It brings claims under Arkansas public nuisance law and the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Ark. Code § 4-88-101 and following, and for unjust enrichment.

The complaint alleges that “Roblox and Discord function together as a two-stage predatory pipeline,” with Roblox as the point of first contact and Discord as the place children are moved to. These are allegations. No court has ruled on them.

What it means

This is an enforcement action by the State. Money a state recovers funds state programs; it does not compensate individual families.

Roblox said it “strongly dispute[s] the claims in this lawsuit.” Discord said the suit “does not reflect the platform we have built or the investments we have made in user safety” (as reported by Biometric Update).
